In-App Messaging: Stay Connected with Your Handworkers

We're excited to announce our new in-app messaging system—a feature designed to make communication between customers and handworkers seamless, secure, and convenient.

Clear communication is essential for successful home improvement projects. With our new messaging feature, you can:

Real-Time Conversations

Messages are delivered instantly, so you're always in sync with your handworker. No more waiting for email replies or playing phone tag.

Booking-Based Threads

Each booking has its own conversation thread, making it easy to track discussions related to specific projects. Reference past conversations anytime.

Unread Notifications

Never miss an important message. The notification badge shows your unread count, and you'll receive email notifications for new messages when you're away.

Message History

All your conversations are saved and accessible from your dashboard. Review past discussions, shared images, and project details whenever you need them.

How to Use Messaging

For Customers

  1. Book a service with a handworker
  2. Open the booking from your dashboard
  3. Click the message icon to start a conversation
  4. Send your message and attach any relevant photos

For Handworkers

  1. View incoming bookings in your dashboard
  2. Access the conversation from the booking details
  3. Respond to customer inquiries promptly
  4. Coordinate project logistics directly

Privacy & Security

Your conversations are private and secure:

  • End-to-end encryption protects your messages
  • Only booking participants can view conversations
  • No spam—messaging is limited to active bookings
  • Report inappropriate content with one click
